By using this site you accept the terms below. They are short because the site is a static reference: there is nothing to buy, nothing to sign up for, and no account to close.

What you may do with the data

The palette and cross-brand match JSON endpoints are public and free to read, including from your own project. Two limits:

• Do not hammer them. They are static files behind a CDN, but bulk mirroring at speed is still rude. Cache what you fetch.
• The names and codes are not ours to license. They remain the manufacturers’ trademarks, so use them to identify colors - not to imply a brand endorses, supplies, or has approved your product.

Attribution is not required, and is appreciated.

Trademarks and affiliation

Brand names, color names and color codes are the trademarks of their respective owners, used here nominatively - to identify the products described, which is the only way a cross-brand reference can work.

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any paint manufacturer. No claim of ownership over any trademark is made.

Accuracy, and what to do before buying paint

Colors shown on a screen are approximate. Display calibration, room lighting and paint sheen all change what you see, and derived values such as Lab, calculated LRV and cross-brand matches are computed from published hex values rather than measured from physical paint.

Get a physical sample or a manufacturer color chip before purchasing. The manufacturer’s own current information is always authoritative; this site may lag it.

No warranty

This site and its data are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. No guarantee is made that the data is accurate, complete, current, or that the site will be available or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its data - including repainting a room, ordering the wrong paint, or any other cost of a decision made on the basis of an on-screen color. Verify with the manufacturer and with a physical sample first.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Links to other sites

Brand pages link to manufacturers’ own websites and to the catalog files the data came from. Those are other people’s sites, with their own terms and privacy practices, and nothing here covers them.

Changes

These terms may change; the review date above says when they last did. Continued use after a change means the current version applies.
